Objective
Execute an event to launch and raise funds for AFA’s Palm Out Poverty campaign which aims to plant 1 million oil palms in Africa to generate revenues to benefit various NGOs.
Our Role
• Led the development of corporate sponsorships and strategic partnerships
• Created sponsorship packages and presentations, drafted solicitation letters and managed delivery of sponsor benefits
• Recruited strategic and promotional partners
• Managed on-site registration and VIP reception
Results
• Roughly 1,500 guests and 3 African Heads of State attended the combined boxing and entertainment event which featured performances by Youssou N’Dour, Angelique Kidjo and other celebrities
• ConceptLink Consulting facilitated relationships with sponsors and Ambassadors, including South African Airways and Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu
• Approximately $500,000 of financial and in-kind sponsorships procured
